Re: Screen Terrier no more

A real shame! I can't say I've ever had any opportunities through there but I've always loved viewing the posts to see who has recently been cast or what new British show is in the pipeline. I shall certainly miss that. Screenterrier was such a real supporter of new talent! =D>

Re: Discontinued Representation

I had an agent contact me via Spotlight for representation when I was a young performer, and of course you should go ahead and apply to other agents, it really helps that you already have Spotlight. So don't be too disheartened, maybe the agency just wasn't a good fit for you!

Re: Can you join adult Spotlight without an agent?

As a young performer I wasn't able to renew as an adult performer without professional credits, and on the phone, like on the website, they told me that commercials and shorts didn't count. Just my experience.

Re: spotlight

I think if you are still young enough to apply for young performers when renewal comes around then they might still let you back onto that directory for another year so even if you turn 21 a month after the renewal date then you can still be on it...therefore there might be some people on there who ...

Re: Lack of information from agent re understudy job.

I'm not sure how normal it is to have an understudy for a promo shoot, although it sounds unusual to me, i think other more experienced people on here will be able to inform you. Regarding payment however, agent should be upfront about this as well as the amount they take. It isn't all about the mon...

Re: Ann Koska Agency

Just to let anyone who is interested know, they are focusing now much more on children. On the website it says up to age 25, but after inquiring about registration, the email i received said that they were re-doing the site and will no longer accept anyone over the age of 13.

Hope that helps.

Re: Ann Koska Agency

Does anyone know generally what time of the year they tend to allow applications from London? Or is it just worth sending an application of interest to the email provided?

Re: Artemis Fowl

Really? Where did you read this? I'm sure it's been at least a decade or more in the making! I think originally Eion Colfer liked Cameron Diaz for one of the leads but now shes far too old! Could be a very good opportunity for a young boy though, I personally can't really think of anyone particularl...

Child 44

Anyone else a fan of these books by Tom Rob Smith? It's a trilogy, the first is Child 44, the second is The Secret Speech, and the third is Agent 6. Thought I would give it a mention as I read them a little while ago and I think they are absolutely brilliant. They are really well written and well wo...

Re: The Voice 2013

Have to agree with absolutely everything Genevieve said. I personally didn't feel any of the finalists had the wow factor, although in terms of marketing and star quality I thought Leah was best, so I thought she'd win it. I was surprised that Andrea won, simply because her voice was never particula...

Ooh sapphire I do hope the rumour about Jonathon Rhys Meyers is true
I do also hope they might be casting some older teenage girls, but I think you are right they probably have specific girls in mind. But who knows.

Re: Song choice

I think also maybe an old Hilary Duff song might be nice, especially if she has a pop voice with attitude. But for something more 'current' then I think something by Taylor Swift or Katy Perry might be good. Best of luck to your dd :)

Re: First commercial audition

Others will probably have some different suggestions, but when I went for my first commercial audition I forgot certain measurements! So although they aren't always needed, i'd make sure you have made a list of all of your DD's up to date measurements, and also all of your agencies contact informati...
