Re: Acting 6th form
My daughter is off to Arts1 in Milton Keynes to do MT, but I know they also do an acting Btech. The standard of stuff we have seen from their acting students is really good.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Thanks all. I do feel that Arts1 would probably be a better fit for her and I agree that things happen for a reason. Keeping fingers crossed like mad for Friday!

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Gosh Hilltop, I can be of no help, but that’s an interesting thought - I had no idea you could do top ups like that. H had her Arts1 audition today - completely different style from EDA as it was mainly workshop based. She would absolutely accept EDA if she were fortunate enough to be offered, but a...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Well it’s done. She thought it went well and she performed her best, but she didn’t get an interview. They specifically said that doesn’t mean it’s a no, but she is convinced it does and is gutted. Urgh! Sorry to hear your DD didn't get an interview. It's such a tough world to put yourself into at ...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
My dad had prepared Maybe This Time and It Means Beautiful as EDA don’t require legit for 6th form. Totally set on the belt one and thought of Beautiful to show her softer side. Started lessons with a teacher at EDA part time maybe 3 weeks ago who range checked her and suggest she try a higher one. ...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
We looked at Bodyworks and it would be great, but a diploma is expensive and has no funding attached, so I think it’s a no, sadly. I don’t think she is ready for diploma yet either, especially not somewhere that is know for dance!

:-({|= Good luck to her @mteast I also get the other people don’t get it thing and it’s nice to share your stresses sometimes. My ds applying for acting and mt degrees- people are being supportive by saying oh he’ll do great and get in no problem etc but I think that adds to the pressure. People jus...
