Re: Pros & cons list to decide which college?
Congratulations on the multiple offers! I think you’ve been given some good pointers already. I would definitely check the contact hours on the course. My dd attended Laine and her days were full from 8.30am til around 6pm sometimes later, daily. She had a friend however, who attended another colleg...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019
Best of luck to everyone auditioning for 2019 places, hope it’s going well! My Dd auditioned at Laine, Arts Ed, Mountview, Central, GSA and the Royal College of Music. With the exception of Mountview she was recalled at all. She was offered Foundation at Arts Ed and a scholarship on the day of audi...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Scarytimes, congrats on your DS’ offers! My dd is at Laine so can only give specific info for there. Dd got the “feeling” at Laine as soon as she walked in and throughout her audition. She is a good all rounder but her particular strength is voice. She has friends at GSA so can compare the two based...

Re: After graduation....

Students are also submitted for panto jobs from 1st year onwards. For 3rd years this is great, many students already have jobs ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
I know the lady in charge of funding at Laine is unwell x Anyone got any update on this? Not that I've still been checking the post carefully for the last two days just in case... I mentioned this to Dd and she had no knowledge of it. The Foundation year graduated on Sunday and I spoke with one stu...

Re: Laines audition?
My Dd is a first year at Laine and has never been weighed. They actually provide students with lots of useful info on healthy eating and advise NOT to cut back on their regular food intake when they start as they will need lots of energy/fuel to cope with being in class all day every day. Dd is lovi...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Hi Scarytimes - Easter was later last year and Laine funding audutions were definitely a couple of weeks later than this year. My dd's two friends heard exactly 3 weeks after their funding auditions and they said the wait seemed like forever! So could be another week before any news comes out! Then...
