Re: Options!!! Music vs History
Thank you! That sort of turns my idea that Music was the easier option on its' head!!  She is doing Drama and although she does dance she is not sporty so we were only heading for the BTEC PE. She is however taking Drama. I was keener on the History for my own misguided reasons but she ...

Hi All We've hit Options choosing time for Yr10. DD is a top set pupil so will take all the usual subjects plus has been "offered" the chance to take an English course that includes 4 GCSEs' . She is keen to take up that option although is comes with the warning of an increased workload at...

Re: Ballet Black?
My DD went to see this with her dance teacher and some of her classmates. She was only 12 at the time and so I hope you understand the amount of information that was forthcoming afterwards. ](*,) ](*,) The general feedback was that they all really enjoyed it and that the ballet was very "differ...
Re: SYTS
Can I ask what were the children asked to do for their audition? Did they have to prepare anything? I have a friend who may be interested for her DD next year.

Re: What do you want from your agent?
Thanks PG Whilst she has a showreel they won't use it as it is not professional work. They do however have a voice clip on their site of her. I did ask them last year what we could do to improve her chances and believe you me we have put all that into practice and endeavoured to keep them informed a...

Re: What do you want from your agent?
I read these posts with interest as although DD is with one of the most NAPM respected agencys I can't say I'm overly impressed. I called them this week as we have had no communication for several months and was assured that DD is still very much in their minds but that it has been quite for them in...

Re: Making the right decision at YR8?????
Thank you so much for the wise words and support. I think I know deep down that I don't want either of us to go down the Grammar route but felt that I was doing her a disservice if I didn't encourage her to do so. We have decided to visit all the options available to us and then decide using gut and...

Making the right decision at YR8?????
Excuse me if I end up rambling  My dd is bright and could sit the local Grammar School entrance exams that are coming up in October. However (and this is the tricky bit I am struggling with) whilst she is bright she is not the brightest and achieves currently without any sense of focus or desir...

I pay £17.50 for 30 mins one to one for DD and £10.00 per hour for her group lesson of about 6 of them.
