Accomodation

Hello you lot!

I've been accepted into a course with National Youth Theatre (so excited!!) and I need to stay in London for the week! Does anyone know of any good cheap places that I could stay?

Thanks! :D

Re: Do drama schools have an age limit for MA degrees?

Ideally, I'm doing it to get a better understanding of acting. I'm hoping that, even though it's taken me longer to get started, the MA will show that I have patience and am willing to take the time to learn. It might take me longer, but if I work hard enough, maybe it'll pay off? 8-[ The university...

Re: Do drama schools have an age limit for MA degrees?

Psh, 47 is still young!

The best actresses seem to be the most mature! :D Glad to know there's still hope!

Thanks as always, pg!

Do drama schools have an age limit for MA degrees?

You lot are handy with information and thought I'd ask. I'm going into second year for my BA degree and I'm 25 so I'll be around 28 when I graduate. I read somewhere that the older you get, the less chance you have! 8-[ I know I'll be older, but I'm hoping that someone will see past that and see tha...

Casting Networks

My friend told me about a website called Casting Networks that some has casting calls for commericals and the like.

Have any of you heard of it/are on it? You lot are always in the know so I thought I'd ask!

Re: Websites like star now

Have you tried Casting Call Pro?

There are unpaid jobs that you can apply to for free like student films. If you want the paid jobs, you will have to pay or they have a way through you recommending someone to the site and they give you a week of paid subscription for free!

Re: Student Film

Wow, 3 comments already! I've spoken to the director and the editor who seem pretty serious for first years! My lecturers are trying to work alongside Film and Production students, saying the experience would be beneficial for both us as actors and the other students! I've been told that I'm working...

Student Film

Hi everyone!

I've just been asked to do a student film for some first year students.

It's only a two day shoot but is there anything I should do before I film anything or any advice you could give me? :D

Touring Company

Hi everyone! I'm nearly at the end of my first year at university and I've just been offered the chance to go on tour with a TIE company with a play during the summer! It'll around my county and then at the Edinburgh Fringe. It's not paid, but travel and accommodation will be covered and a daily sub...

That does help, thanks.

I've been in contact with a teacher and she charges about £24 so that sounds not far from yours!

LAMDA Tuition

Hi! I was thinking about doing some LAMDA exams and getting some private tuition to help me.

How much does everyone pay for your DS/DD per hour to be taught? :D

Re: Agencies and Spotlight

I thought I might ask this in here since it mentions Spotlight. I'm doing a Theatre Arts course that has acting and performance involved.

Do you think Spotlight might accept that? :-k
