Re: Drama school or not? So confused!

I'm 21 and sort of in the same boat, as in considering whether or not to apply for drama school - the fees are ridiculous and not everyone has two rich parents and descendants from the queen :p I'd suggest doing some part time courses, apply for short films, learn script writing, NYT, NYMT, NYFA, Id...

Monologue from TV/Film!

Hi, I have an audition coming up and they have requested I use a monologue from a Movie/ TV show, as it is for screen acting. I am very confused as to what to do, I am looking for a female monologue with age range of 18-30. I have considered the Speech from Stoker "I've often wondered why it is we h...

Urgent Question RE: Shakespeare Monologue!

Hi, If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated, and it is a rather silly question, but You know those self doubt feelings? Got it! Anyway.... Katarina's last monologue in The Taming Of The Shrew " Fie, Fie, unknit that threatening unkind brow..." Is that classified as a comedic monologue?...

Re: Advice Regarding Training, Please.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. To be honest, I feel like I would want to gain some more performing experience before auditioning, however like you mentioned, I was considering auditioning for 2/3 (One being with an audition fee waiver), to gain practical experience.

Thanks :)

Advice Regarding Training, Please.

Hi, I was considering auditioning for drama schools this September (I'm 21), but I am now considering joining two youth companies that start in September to train and gain some more experience as well as partaking in workshops throughout the year instead. I'm just slightly worried that applying when...

Need some urgent advice please!!!

Hi So, I'm 21 years old and currently in the process of preparing monologues to audition for drama school later this year. On the side I have been partaking in numerous LAMDA and RADA workshops, as well as booking onto the summer school at Arts Ed. However, I am greatly worried about, firstly, if I ...

Re: Epic stages

Hey, I was going to audition for Epic Stages but decided against it. Personally, I think its unfair how NYT courses are £400-£500 and Epic Stages are £2000 - I'm 21 so cant audition for NYT, but cant afford the £2000. Personally, I think you'll be better off booking summer courses at drama schools i...

Captain America Winter Soldier!

SEE THIS FILM!!!! As a massive Avengers fan, I would say that this film surpasses that.... seriously! The tone is darker and the humour is less, though still there. The performances are brilliant in this film, especially from Scarlett and Sebastian (Y) This film is a complete game changer for the fu...

RADA Shakespeare Certificate

Has anybody done the Bronze RADA Shakespeare Certificate?

If so, what was the process and would it be a good thing to put on my CV?

Thanks

Question about applying to Drama School?

Hi So my DD is planning on applying for drama school later on this year and is already working on monologues/research etc. However, one thing that has been bugging her is the fact of her limited experience. She has participated in School Plays since she was little and did Drama as a GCSE. But that's...
