Re: New Agency - Ardent Talent

Thank you all very much. I've been overwhelmed with support and kind wishes. We have some super applications coming in now and everyone who has emailed so far should have received a response already with their application form. I will update on here again when the first auditions are all confirmed. ...

New Agency - Ardent Talent

Hello NAPMers. It's been rather some time since I posted on here....I hope at least one or two of you will remember me. I'm posting about my new venture. Those who do remember me will know that as well as mum to a young performer I was involved with another agency a couple of years ago and stood dow...

Re: The Sound of Music - West End Transfer possible.

Emi's mum, your daughter played Brigitta, is that right? Can I ask how tall she is? Just curious really - my DD is 4"3 and loves the Sound Of Music... just wondered whether 4"3 was Marta or Brigitta size. The Gretyl I saw at Regents Park (in Emi's team I think) was teeny tiny! We thought ...

Re: The Sound of Music - West End Transfer possible.

Ooooo - how exciting. My ds absolutely loved being in that at Regents Park. I assume they would audition from scratch, what do you think? Sxx I would imagine they would re audition but of course would see all the original teams again too. It may take some time if they do actually transfer....and of...

Re: Looking for advanced Musical Theatre sessions

Try West End Masterclass run by Michael Xavier. They have guest teachers from the industry such as Maria Freidman and Kerry Ellis.....they don't really come better than that! It's on a Sunday in Islington.

Re: AFA Management

The agent doesn't pay!! It's a free service to agents and their clients. The service to casting directors allows them to check in actors using an iPad and hence their details will be logged. It's designed to make it easier for the cd to run a casting throughout the process right from setting out the...

Re: AFA Management

Not heard of this one. I would say that most agents use CN as well as spotlight as only a small number of casting directors use CN. It is becoming more used by them but the majority of the work is via spotlight. I agree though that you should not pay a fee to any agent regardless of how they find th...

Re: Musical Theatre Songs for a 12 Year old

DD is just learning I Know Things Now from Into The Woods. It's different (well it's Sondheim) but different is good. Also New Philosophy from You're A Good Man Charlie Brown is a good one. Both are usually adult roles playing children so it translates well for any age I think. Good luck in your sea...

It is indeed. I actually sat in on Maria Friedman giving a class there today. What a thrill and privilege. I feel I had a Masterclass in teaching techniques. Awestruck!!!
