Re: Two rejections on one day
Hi and thanks so much for the advice. Different for each child I think, and I suppose its all about what the audition experience was like? If its a quick 'in and out' that's not quite the same as a 3 hour workshop - the 'no' was for the latter, so in some ways it was just a nice, fun morning. Anyway...

Re: Two rejections on one day
Hi all - and another rejection here, for ds (just 10yrs, and pretty new to this)! Really horrid!! And can I ask advice? Do you always tell them when they've had a 'no' - especially when there's no real feedback to speak of? I suspect he may have already forgotten about it all, and is anyway busy wit...

starnow applications
Hello! Just wondering if anyone has any info/tips about applying to STARNOW postings? I am wondering how long, on average, it takes to hear back from an application (I know, how long is a piece of string!!!?). Am guessing there are mums on here who may have some idea of that - and also, when your pr...

Re: West End Stage Summer School
Hi there fairywhisperart, have registered my 9 yr old boy for SY Feb half term course only today! Let me know if you do too! Like you, I've looked around locally and there is very little going on here, so I'm hoping that it will be money well-spent as it is such a highly regarded theatre school.

Re: licences for child actors
Hello all and thanks so much for the helpful replies. What a minefield. Thanks especially for the link Frisbee - still finding it rather confusing but sure it will make sense with a bit more untangling of the beauracratic language!! Have also PMd you re the specific prodcution I was referring to! Th...

Re: licences for child actors
Thanks so much for your reply francescasmum! We are in Stockport. I am feeling a bit uncertain about this particular student film as the 'producer' is asking ME whether my dc would need a licence. However, i do know that students need all the help they can get, so don't mind trying to find out stuff...

licences for child actors
Hello - I wonder if anyone knows whether children need to be licenced to take part in student film projects (unpaid)? And if they do, how do students go about sorting this one out?
Thanks very much in anticipation!!

Re: Les Mis Film Cast Announced
Hello dogcop and outoftheshadows! Good luck to all yours (and any others) who auditioned - my little 'un also auditioned for Gavroche - first ever audition and he's only 9 so when we were told 'the wait will be weeks' we assumed that was a 'probably not' message! Anyway, if you do hear anything it w...

Re: kids casting pro
Hi missmoneypenny and good to know its not just me that feels wary! I have cancelled the subscription, but can't get any repsonse as to when/whether they'll take J's profile down. Will probs ring tomorrow - better to speak to someone in person I guess. Just can't bear the idea that I might in any wa...

Re: kids casting pro
Hi all - in the end I've decided (maybe a little reluctantly) that safety is more important than any jobs J (my lovely 9 year old boy) might get from KCCP. I've just tried to remove his profile, but that seems quite hard to do (hmmm!). I've had to send a separate email asking them to take it off the...
