Re: First time round......very startled!!
I too was going to say Good luck but also keep things in perspective for your child. My ds had to have a break for 9 mths as he got fed up with getting down to final 2 and then not getting the part. It really hit him hard and it is has been an emotional roller coaster, he is now back on track and re...

Re: PLEASE HELP RATE AGENCIES FOR NEW BLOG
i'm still unsure of how this helps. Some kids will have a 'commercial look' and whatever agent they go to will get castings. Some kids are more popular than others, i.e they have more experience than others. Their 'look' maybe in at the moment. Also as I pointed out one agent did give one of my dc's...

Re: PLEASE HELP RATE AGENCIES FOR NEW BLOG
Those questions are quite hard to answer. How many castings a year? how many jobs? One of my kids got loads of castings 4-5 x a week with one agent and no jobs. Then moved to another agent and got barely any (max 1 a month) but got the jobs from the select few castings. Some children will get lots o...

We got the same, an email asking us to attend. Wonder how busy it will be?
I think they have also advertised it on Starnow.

Advice
Ok looking for a little bit of advice, DS is 8, in the last six months he has done amazing well and been shortlisted for 3 feature films, main parts. However to get that far he has had to go to to many auditions, recalls, meeting directors only to be informed that he is down to final two. Now I thin...

Re: Chaperoning
When I had a chaperone licence for Panto, I was visited by the licencing lady and had an interview, she also contacted my two references. I'm not sure if it's the same but we always had two chaperones present and then there was also some parents who would hang around. The theatre staff who worked ba...

Re: What do we tell the school now dd with an agency
Our secondary school does not support time off for acting/ modelling. They will not allow time off for auditions or for leaving early in order to catch a train into London! We have gone in to speak to our headteacher and explained the situation and the benefits for our child. The only thing that the...

Re: Bonnie and Bettie vs Kids London Ltd
Personally I think sometimes it's abit about trial and error. Some agencies work better for your child and you (some are very personal and keep you up to date whilst others only speak to you when absolutely neccessary) and I think its sometimes down to personal judgement. Like people have said first...
