Does anyone have any experience of the contemporary CAT scheme in Birmingham? My dd is 11 (Y6) and interested in applying, it would be great to hear some experiences. The website has lots of information and sounds great but a personal slant would be really helpful.

IDTA syllabus for lower grades has changed too. Dd was entered for her exam quite early to do the older syllabus before the change but some of the lower grades have moved around due to the syllabus change, so this may be a factor for your dd.

I reckon my dd does an exam roughly once a year. Her dance school do exams each term so there's plenty of opportunity for them to enter the exams when they're ready. There are a few on Ebay at the moment (search for classical ballet tutu) that say age 6-8. Sadly none for a tall skinny 9 year old which was what I was looking for!!

My dd does IDTA syllabus rather than RAD/ISTD but she's G4 ballet and theatrecraft and G3 tap at age 9. There are others in the class who are 2-3 years older, she's only just gone up to those grades.
