It's not what's stated on their website today, Steffysmum, unless there is something else I missed... Scottish students get the £1800 paid for them through SAAS. hence why they let very few Scottish students in as they can make more from other places . We still get Further Education free in Scotlan...

RCS is actually free if you live in Scotland, we don't pay for any university or colleges places here unless private.

well done to all those that have been offered places. and good luck to everyone still waiting. bethjinty if your daughter is not lucky enough to get other funded places. will all fees not be covered at royal conservatoire anyway ?? x

thank you for the reply folks that was a great idea to look on youtube paulears so thanks for that we even saw what some of the others were doing so think that helped a little bit.

im I Scotland so might be different but a lot of the private schools run a 3 year hnd here. but a normal hnd say outwith the arts is 2 years

hnd is higher national diploma and BA is Batchelor of arts which is a degree. not sure how the course content differs though. usually after and HND you can go on and do a BA if you wish to do so.

although is sad to say this but not everyone makes it as a professional entertainer evening after paying lots of money out to go to these places. if someone wants to do that as a job they will find a way. its so sad the way the funding works. we are lucky in Scotland we get fees covered for colleges and universities. but there is no way I could afford to send my dd to one of the better performing arts schools. shes gave up on the idea and went to work as a holiday camp entertainer as all she wants to...

in scotland we have dance school of scotland but its more for ballet and musical theatre students and i dnt think they take from outside scotland. not heard of anything else x
