Re: KM Casting 11-16 year olds

We received a self-tape request last week for one character via agent, then direct from applying via the advert weeks ago (before with new agent) we received a request to self tape for a different character and now today, via StarNow we have had a notice that they would like her to self-tape for yet...

Re: Daisy & Dukes and CS Management

I have to agree with bethjaneg, I am not aware of D&D being one of the leading child modelling agencies. They are one of the top ten child agencies that supply for theatre (west-end), musical theatre, TV, feature films and shorts. Yes, they do put children forward for mdoelling, but i would say ...

Re: PT Performing Arts Schools or Drama Group?

Thank you all so much for your words it really helps to mull these things over with people that have the same experiences. I have had a very open chat with my DD and we happily agree to drop the school at this time and are going to look for local drama groups. Thankfully we are at the end of term no...

PT Performing Arts Schools or Drama Group?

I hope to hear some of your experiences, my DD has been with 2 different Performing Arts Schools in the past 2 years. When I say Perf. Arts Schools, I mean the weekend groups that teach singing, dancing & acting for a premium. However, we have found, in both instances, my DD hasn't really experi...

Re: edsa performing arts school?

My DD only started in October and she absolutely loves it, her dancing has improved no end and we think its a great thing that they have visiting tutors that actually work in the industry - many are in shows themselves - so every week the children end up having valuable workshops this way. Emil and ...

Rehearsal & Performance Schedules

Hi all, I've been searching but cannot find anything,so apologise if i've missed a thread, but I'm curious about rehearsal & performance schedules for WE theatre/musical theatre productions. Say, for example, DD wanted to audition for Matilda. What are the possible schedules for a member of the ...

Belonging to more than ONE agency

I would be really interested in the NAPM view of "being" with more than one agency. My research has led me to believe that most agencies prefer to have sole representation - indeed, they include this in their contracts - however, I have seen that there are a few very successful DC that app...

Mad Fish Management

As a new parent to this business and to agencies, I only have wonderful things to say about the ladies from Mad Fish Management - which is a brand new agency. Emma & Sarah work hard, having their own children, a full time singing school and now a Talent Management company. They always respond to...

Re: Kitsch Agency

Thank you PG, tbh was caught up in the excitement so didn't think! They also say that it is for 3 years; and I believe they are a sole agency, which I find an incredibly long time to be tied up for - especially at the 8-11 age.

Kitsch Agency

My DD has been offered a place on the books of Kitsch Agency, they have good links with netmums, but as a newbie at all this, I wondered if any NAPM members had any experience with them? They have been very helpful and quick to respond to me, with a £120 joining fee for 3 years including photographs...

Re: TV Pilots and working for nothing

Thank you so much PG for this totally honest insight into the industry. At the end of the day, an individual has to do what they feel is right for them, but individuals would do well to heed your advice, especially as you say, you have been there and done it! :D Thank you!
