CV writing this week

Decided that I really need to get my CV out to a few agencies. So I'm going to write it over this week as I have a lot of spare time! Any tips or necessities I should include or make sure I do? Should I write anything on it or just a table with my details and name, plays and performances in it? Also...

Re: Star Wars 7

There is a lot of speculation around on various social networking sites. I've no idea who will be cast - but I think it's pretty safe to assume it will be actors with experience who are represented by established agencies. The way things often work in casting is that the director and casting team k...

Star Wars 7

Does anyone know what's happening with the production for this? What stage they are at with the script and casting. For those of you that don't know but have more acting experience than I do, Which actors do you think will be cast for roles? What agents will they be using and what sort of people do ...

Re: Showreels and monologues

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so why not? But it strikes me that you may be answering your own question a different way. If the absence of performance experience in the past couple of years knocks your confidence, why not work on getting some? It would build your CV and - most importantly - you...

Re: Showreels and monologues

On your CV you should list your "credits" (i.e. any roles you have had in productions) and then you can also mention skills and interests/hobbies. Skills and hobbies are "additional information" though - and it's best if you include in particular the sort of things that might ma...

Re: Showreels and monologues

Thank you! Yes I am thirteen but have a playing age older than that. I've also seen a few templates for CVs but have no idea what to include! Do I just put in things to do with acting or shall I put down hobbies and things I enjoy? :)

Showreels and monologues

When applying for agencies is it worth sending a disc with you performing a monologue or something with your CV? I am about to send mine out to a few small agencies but haven't really got anything on it which may lead them to think I'm bad when it's just because I haven't done much. So do you think ...
