Re: kccp - age limits
Thank you both for the replies - I get it! I will probably find the role is no longer vacant by the time I get to it, but at least we know now. I think to be fair it is a good fit with his playing age so would not feel awkward applying.

kccp - age limits
Hello, I wondered if any of the KCCP users on here could answer a question about the site? I have asked KCCP, but no answer. Where an age range is given for a job, if DS is one year outside it would he be automatically prevented from applying? Or do they allow the person casting to take a view? I do...

Re: Getting a bit excited making plans for September
That doesn't sound right, legally I mean. I imagine if you paid a deposit it must have been a contract for a particular rent. They surely can't bind you to lose the deposit while also changing the terms and putting the rent up? Do you have a CAB nearby?

Re: Northern youth theatre - Leeds
I took a look at the website for this and honestly couldn't understand it. Not trying to be awkward, it all just flies about and never really settles down. Anyone else?

Re: Adult agencies which take on Child actors.
K Talent have a small number of children. They also took the trouble to write back to an enquiry when we were looking for an agent for DS (not everyone did!), letting us know when their books were open - though we were happily sorted by then.

Re: Jo Hawes - masterclass in auditioning
These sound great! Has anyone seen a link to upcoming dates by any chance? Could only see one Saturday one in London, could travel but can't make the date. Also does anyone know if they are focused on theatre and MT, or just as much on TV/ film? Thanks!

Re: Student Film & Licence question
Just a quick note for balance really :D . Some student projects seem genuinely worthwhile to me, especially if you are looking to get some early experience. It does depend on so many things, but if you are dealing with students from a reputable university or perhaps film school, and if it is part of...

Re: permission refused. is head mistress being unreasonable?
Wow. Thank you begolina. Sorry to be slow on the uptake here. But I have just read the Education (Pupil Registration) (England)(Amendment) Regulations 2013 (what else would you do on a bank holiday?). The key change made to Regulation 7 of the Education (Pupil Registration) etc Regulations 2006, cla...

Re: permission refused. is head mistress being unreasonable?
One of the NAPMs went through this just a few months ago and - through diligent research - worked out that its not up to the Head Teacher. It's the LEA that issues the license. I wish I could remember who or when it was that this was discussed on here, but if you search 'licenses' or scan back thro...

Re: permission refused. is head mistress being unreasonable?
I completely feel for you as we are taking our first steps in this whole thing this year. We have had a few authorised days, the first few without much issue (a couple of sessions for a panto, and then a student film where I was expecting a bit more of a fuss), then the final one required a meeting ...

Re: KCCP
Hi all, does anyone know whether there is an option to have a non-public profile on KCCP, as there is on Starnow, so that only advertisers you actually apply to get to see it? We've had a couple of good things through Starnow and KCCP looks really useful, but we don't feel ready to have a public pro...

Thanks pg, there are lots of very useful pointers here. I will have a look around the threads and see if there are any recent experiences with scream.

Re: Workshop Auditon
This is a very interesting account! We have a few agency auditions coming up, though I also have had a knack for applying just a bit too late, maybe because it is our first time around. In fact we have recently had an exciting call up for meetings that proved to have already taken place by the time ...
