Touched by this recent review..

We were touched by this recent review from one of our long-standing Forecast Academy parents: "My eldest daughter has always wanted to become an actress. She had joined all drama clubs on offer at her primary and secondary school, done Stagecoach, had achieved several Trinity Guildhall and Lamd...

Benefits of pre drama-school training - Julie Atherton

Hi, I've seen a lot of threads talking about auditions to drama schools and what people may be looking for. For all those sending their kids to professional workshops and pre-drama school training, that's a fantastic 'leg-up' West End leading actress Julie Atherton talked to us after her 'acting thr...

Re: Dancer but not so much a singer!

This is a common occurrence with young performers, and one I can completely empathise with. We teach each of our students all 3 disciplines and naturally there are some that find a particular discipline more confronting, and may have felt in similar shoes to what you describe. All I can say is that ...

Just for a bit of fun, here's some of our students in their rendition of classic Monty Python sketch 'The Argument Clinic' at our comedy term Showcase

Hope you enjoy - I think they did a great job :)

Re: DD needs a new audition monologue, help?

Ah, I see. Another great contemporary UK play that we've used with students is Constellations by Nick Payne.

It's well worth a read regardless, but there are lovely monologue moments within it.

Re: Elite training for under 16s (part time)

I certainly think you should take a look at us to see if you think we could be a good fit. We're non-franchised, audition our applicants, offer masterclasses and weekly training from leading pros we're aligned with, have had great successes with our students, and more, but as I say, just have a look...

Re: Audition Tips?!

I can't really comment on the dress-code element, but I would imagine the schools ask about which other schools as a means to identifying if the other schools applied for 'line up' with the discipline strength of their own, and thereby understanding a bit more about their potential student. If a stu...
