Hi just wondering if this casting was still open and whether it was via an agent?

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019
Meant to add. If your DD's friend is serious that she wants to do MT then she could read through previous threads to get to know more and seek advice from her dance teacher and school. I would assume she was having dance lessons and was already involved in youth theatre or singing/ choir so it woul...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019
Hi all, it’s been great reading and keeping up with this topic! Just wanted to ask some advice for Dd’s friend. Her mum is very unsure about her applying to do musical theatre at drama school and completely blanched when I told her it was £40-50 per audition, saying it was a ripoff! Obviously she w...

Re: Musical Theatre Courses with a full student loan!
Half way there. I've compiled all the CDMT (formerly CDET), Federation of Drama Schools and Conservatoire affiliated institutions. I just need to go through UCAS etc to compile the university courses. I'm also waiting for replies from a couple of institutions whose websites are not clear about whet...

Re: What to do when parents are unsupportive?
Dd’s Friend has had a breakthrough! Her parents came to watch her show last weekend, as did we, she was stunning and her mum had a proper talk with her about her future in the industry! She made me cry with her solo, as well as several others in the audience and Dd is so proud of her! Just thought y...

Re: What to do when parents are unsupportive?
It's really hard as a parent x I know in the start I didn't fully support my DD and she knew it but then one day I watched her sing and I felt it x it sounds silly but I thought about how hard she was working and it just clicked and I knew that's what she loved and wanted to do for her life and I a...

Re: What to do when parents are unsupportive?
Have you tried talking to them? Suggesting that as long as she has a back up plan of being a dance teacher/ choreographer /owning her own dance school/producing plays and musicals, then she can do what she loves and make money. Maybe she could go to a university that has a really good extra curricu...

What to do when parents are unsupportive?
Hi all, My dd’s friend is very talented in musical theatre and could have a future ahead of her. Although her parents pay for dance, singing and acting classes, come to watch her shows and take her to rehearsals etc they aren’t supportive of her doing it as a career. They believe she won’t make any ...

Re: Reserve vs offers
My gut feeling would be to accept the Rose Burford offer - a degree offer rather than for a foundation course. If once the course has started and he has settled into it, he still feels it is not quite right for him, he always has the option of applying for Central next year and dropping out at the ...
