Re: Millennium Performing Arts college

Unless anybody knows any different, I think it will be due to their RI status....that was certainly the case when DD was auditioning last year :?

Re: MADD College Musical Theatre diploma

DD has a friend there at the moment and she loves it / is doing well. We also know of someone who went there quite a few years ago at 16 and then went on to have a successful career on cruise ships. She is now settled and married and teaches both dance and Pilates.

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Apologies for jumping in here, my DD is 13 and is of the flexible, slim type. She has been told that she is hyperflexible and has had a few minor issues with various joints, etc. I do have concerns about this and I worry about injury and stamina/strength when she (hopefully) does dancing in full-ti...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

I remember my DD being really concerned at her lack of flexibility when we were going through the rollercoaster that is auditioning 😂 Now, in her 1st year full-time she has rapidly learnt and realised that much more important than flexibility is strength and stamina. A great deal of time and emphasi...

Re: Stageworks and Bodyworks post-16 opinion wanted

Jasmine2 had a DD at Bodyworks (graduated now) and would be a good person to give you the low-down. Lesser known, but I definitely wouldn’t say a lesser standard - I personally think it gets overlooked by many people who have their eyes set on London. We were really impressed when we looked around.

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

With risk of repeating what others have said, 11 is a huge undertaking! Given the schools you have listed maybe you should consider going to the CDET conference as they’ll all be there under one roof and you can chat to them more about their course content. Your DD can also attend master classes an...
