Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry
Gosh - £500 seems a lot. Then I started calculating. DD's maintenance loan will leave her with £20 a week after rent and bills. We were thinking of paying for her phone and giving her £200 a month. So basically she'd have about £280/£300 a month. She can walk to her London college from her flat so ...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry
Hi everybody, looking for some consensus here I think. DS is off to Bird in September and we've been trying to work out how much to give him over and above his accommodation and bills. We've got to £535 a month to include food, replacement uniform, any other living costs, gym membership, train fare...

Re: Performers Uniform
I wasn’t sure if you meant me
yes is was fabulous to see them all on stage again and such a bunch of talented dancers and the singing was brilliant too. Excited to see what the “real” shows will be like. Xx

Re: Performers Uniform
Didn’t realise they had different ballet Leo’s every year so I imagine that first years will be selling on. There is quite an active sale but on Facebook. I bought 2 but daughter only worn one as things have been a bit weird this year and they haven’t changed between lessons like they would normally...

Re: Performers Uniform
Think the thicker strap is recommended if they are bigger up top 😊 If you look on Instagram tagged pictures and scroll down a bit there is a couple of pictures with students wearing them 😀 I tried yesterday using #performerscollege and didn’t see any ballet posts. I’ll try a different hashtag. My D...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry
Last year Performers started doing some online events, quizzes, classes etc for new students to get to know each other. Would imagine they will do similar this year.

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry
There are a lot of Performers students in Trafford House in central Basildon - we got sorted there in august last year. Mainly 2 bed flats but DD found flatmate on the Facebook page and they have privately rented together. It’s 2 mins from bus station but within weeks had carshares sorted. Staying ...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry
We had a similar experience last year with WIlkes - lost count of the number of phone calls and emails trying to obtain info. In the end I gave up and DD didn't even submit audition as it just put us off, which was a shame as I had seen such positivity about the college on this forum. I hope you hea...

Re: Foundation students - how much to live on?
Hi - we have worked on the same basis for DD in first year at Performers as we did for older daughter at normal uni. We cover the rent with the min student finance plus top up by us, which has worked out similar as uni in private rent even over 12 months. We then worked out roughly if she had loan t...

Hi - we had no issues getting accommodation in august last year for performers - in private flat in Basildon centre.

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry
I certainly had that gut feeling from Performers at the audition, more so than anywhere else. Can't imagine how hard it has been this year. Good luck - if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask
