Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I agree very strange times. Likewise, my son is having three face to face classes a day and three online. Like many others, he shares a flat with other students at the same drama school and there is always at least one other person at home at the same time. How on earth can they effectively have dan...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I know it's tough - my daughter got a Dada for her tuition with Performers College so I know we're very lucky but she'll be moving from Ireland and we're not entitled to maintenance/living costs so we still need 12,000 plus probably - performers sent out an email the other day offering payment plan...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Yep I think it's a very tough one - with a lot of the colleges offering deferrals then it could be tougher next year to get funding if indeed as much will be available due to the pandemic and also due to Brexit so as tough it it may be doing blended learning which seems to be the current recommenda...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I think it’s really tough for this years intake. I can’t help but wonder if postponing until 2021 would be beneficial or detrimental to these students. If my DS was considering an academic degree this year I would be encouraging him to take a gap year I think, but I get the impression that performin...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Is that their DADAS or another type of funding? That’s really awful! 😫 It was their bursary funding which they offer to students to top up their fees and/or accommodation costs. Gosh. Is this because a lot of 2nd and 3rd years will have different financial needs in the current situation? Yes I beli...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Received an email today to say that all ArtsEd 2020/21 bursary funding is going to second and third year students and no first years which is a pain. Back to the drawing board for us. 😬 Is that their DADAS or another type of funding? That’s really awful! 😫 It was their bursary funding which they of...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Yes that is the challenge although as you say Arts have confirmed it will be a mix of both. Finding anything with space in London is a challenge and even more so on a budget. Sadly no additional funding options for us 😔 Do you mind me asking has he received any funding at all as you say no addition...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
So decision finally made - ArtsEd it is for my DS for next year. Having the joys of searching for accommodation now! Congrats for your DS. Likewise mine has accepted his offer at ArtsEd however we are still holding out for some form of funding. The feedback from the freshers page apparently is that...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Yes the waiting is very stressful . My dd has had more offers then we expected and all along had her heart set on Arts Ed for some reason . Shes declined Bird and two other colleges . She’s in a group chat for her second choice that she’s been accepted to and all the students are stressing about ac...
