Re: Restrictions on how many times you can audition at the same place

My daughter is now a third year at Guildhall, on the Acting BA, and this was a worry for us. They do take people on at all ages, on her course there were 18 year olds through to late 20's, the majority are young, she got in on the second try and there is a such a mix. I think it is more about them m...

Yes, it is incredibly physical at EDA and they do the cardio EVERY morning, makes me tired just dropping dd off! When they first start all they do when they come home is sleep! But they get sooooo fit! Good luck all x

Re: What to do in Hitchin for 5 hrs!

A new cafe has literally just opened across the road from EDA, but I am not certain it is open on Saturdays. I will get my dd to check next week and let you know. She said the milk shakes are 'amazing' :)

Re: RADA third round audition: Any tips please?

Gosh it's all so stressful isn't it! We haven't been through it with Rada but my dd went through it with Guildhall and it was the such a rollercoaster!! (She got in and is finishing 3rd year soon) Loads of luck to your dd, and she should just keep on doing what she has been for the other 2 rounds :) x

Re: What to do in Hitchin for 5 hrs!

I am from the area and my dd2 is doing the 3 year diploma there, so happy to help :) If it was me I would go to Cineworld at Stevenage, as it is on a retail park and as well as the cinema and bowling there are lots of restaurants, and the parking is free. We really like The Millstream pub, which doe...

Yes, that's fair enough Fairydust, how lovely and experienced we all are, and perfect for giving unbiased advice as we will also have had all kinds of experiences. The reason I felt compelled to comment on it was that you stated it was "an unspoken rule" when in fact it isn't, and it shoul...

Re: Dee Boss Talent

Yes, rIverdancefan is exactly right - it is often something to avoid with an adult agency, but children's agencies often have a website fee or headshots charge, it really doesn't reflect their status or authenticity. Always much better to get the opinions of someone with the agency to find out if th...

Re: Child licensing question

I have a feeling 6 is the max in a row, however many different projects they are, but I can't remember seeing it written down anywhere! WHen my son was filming for 5 weeks he had to have one day doing nothing per week - not sure if that is any help!
