Re: Chaperoning
after a show or two of having one ear on the show relay, you'll get to know where your normal call will come i have been in dressing rooms where the chaperone the previous evening has turned the general speaker off (where the call speaker comes through even if the general show speaker doesn't) i ha...

Re: Why can't CDs let us know?
some commercial auditions do pay a small fee - i have no idea how this could be enforced, but i wish they all had to - at least we'd get our travel costs covered - master p saves his surplus towards concert tickets, which keeps him happier!

Re: I feel 'safe' in the dance section....
the Egyptians were white and wore one colour costumes, and the Nubians were black and had different colour costumes - pretty much as how it was in Egypt in the period. By bosses at the college were worried silly - they idea of picking people because of skin colour scared them to death. at master m'...

Re: Chaperoning

Re: Is This Usual?
um - it might not be usual - but disorganisation and being messed about like this is certainly par for the course hopefully your agent understands that neither you nor your offspring can drop everything and go to an audition (remember adults often can, and cd's can forget that kids - and their paren...

i would check carefully with your local authority - different la's have different rules, but as she has earned it, you may not have the right to keep it in trust or withold it, however honourable your intentions

Re: Whatever happened to tap?
master m is considering urdang youth classes - one sunday a month, which would fit smoothly into his timetable
again, ballet, jazz and mt
won't matter to him that there's no tap- that's his strongest style, so he's less in need of extra lessons- but odd that it ain't included

Whatever happened to tap?
mster m has been keeping himself busy with a week at italia and a week at urdang.
at italia, only the oldest group- 17?18?+ - did any tap - none at all at urdang - not even on his 'west end' course
is tap considered a poor relation these days

Re: Foundation course....?
i'd love to read what pg and paulears have to say on this, but we have been told more than once in the past that the main problem with doing a degree for a woman is that you need to be young - parts can dry up very quickly at 28-ish until you reach matron status - unless you are firmly established b...

but then, those kids wouldn't be 'employed'
are work experience kids actually 'employed'? they are generally neither contracted nor paid

Re: Estuary Accent
like many other accents, an estuary accent can be quiter 'posh' and close to rp - think david tennant's dr who, middle-ranging - mark steele maybe, though his is estuary overlaid with 'proper' pronounciation due, i imagine, to speaking at length for a living - or really broad - find out whether you'...

Re: auditions for full time dance schools
I have never heard of housing benefit being paid to degree students no - that wouldn't happen because degrees are considered to be funded/fundable by loans and are quite separate from the benefits system diplomas are a grey area - you are not in the student loan system, so could be considred an imp...
