Re: Play for AS Drama Practical
When I did my AS we got to choose the play ourselves. Our teacher suggested some and helped if we were stuck but we got to choose.

Re: lack of auditions?
I agree, after the Summer I was getting lots of auditions but I haven't had any since November. I guess a lot of stuff has started filming in the New Year so everthing finished casting before Xmas. But I'm sure it'll pick up soon :)

Re: Monologue for 18 year old?
I've seen someone your age do this one before and it worked really well. It's the character Juniper from 'Tomorrow's Wish', and if done well it can be really funny but also quite touching. The link's below :)

Re: Spotlight?
There is a way to take charge of your spotlight account. If you email the spotlight people then you can ask to have your update pin which means that you can edit your profile as well as your agent being able to edit it. That's what I did.

Re: HELP! Monologues
How old are you and what accent do you have? Cos it's usually best to find a monologue which works for your age group and accent. Also by 2 contrasting monologues do you mean one comedy and one dramatic for example, or does one have to be modern and one classical?

Re: Agency for ads & modelling
Hi IGeorgeaux! I think it basically depends on the agency. There are a lot of children's agencies who do modelling, adverts, films and tv etc., but you can also have one modelling agency and one agent for tv and film work. It really depends on what you want. Agency wise you could think about getting...

Re: Spotlight?
Hi! Well as far as I know, children can only be on Spotlight if they have an agent or they are in a stage school. So if you are in the Stagecoach agency then you could ask them to add your child to Spotlight, but if you don't have an agent then you need to get one before you can be on Spotlight. But...

Re: monologue help, please - is this a good choice?
What about a monologue from Teechers? I think there's quite a good one for the character of Salty who is a 15 year old boy. The only thing is that it's meant to be Northern, so you'd have to see if it would work with whatever accent your son has.

Re: Song help!
I recently saw Sweet Charity (twice!) and I think 'If They Could See Me Now' would be a good one - it's really fun and has lots of acting potential. It's quite low but I'm attaching a link of Tamzin Outhwaite singing it who I think does it a bit higher (or seems to anyway) than Shirley McLaine who p...
