You must have been there when I was there - I got there at 4:20!
No I haven't heard anything and I doubt I will, but oh well. Did you?

Re: Industry Trust Cinema Commercial
I did... it was awful. So badly organised - I had to wait on the stairs for about 45 minutes and they were just taking people in at random rather than following the order they had told people to arrive in so people kept on pushing in! What time were you there?

Re: Advice on publicity for local productions
Hi GRB! I was an assistant producer for an amateur youth production recently, so I had to do a lot of the marketing for it. As pg says, Facebook is a great way to get the word out, but you should also think about using Twitter and perhaps starting up a blog. If you do more personal things like that,...

Re: audition pieces help!!
I'm glad that worked for you scriptassistant, but I've usually been told that you shouldn't write your own monologues (especially as you get older) because then you can just write something that is perfect for you, but it doesn't show that you can adapt to a real character if you know what I mean. B...

Re: slow at the moment?
Being a redhead with freckles hasn't got me anything so far... If only Annie could be played by a 17 year old!

Re: slow at the moment?
Yes I am with a London agent, but not at all established, I haven't had any professional work yet, just lots of auditions! But I suppose it must be very different in London, because for things like adverts etc, even if they're not filmed in London (which they often aren't) they very often prefer to ...

Re: slow at the moment?
I've found things have been really busy for me! From February to August I only had 2 auditions, but since September I've had 5! Plus they've all been in really quick succession, like 3 in one week and then 2 one day after the other. I guess thay're a bit like buses - you wait ages for one and then t...

Re: Annie
Igloobabe - I would go for it if I were you. It's not a very long production (the ad says it'll only run for about a week) so it can't be very big, so I would imagine that as long as you could possibly look 11 then it would be okay to audition. And if not then you might get to be an orphan/in the su...

Re: 'The Knowledge' - Audition for play at the Bush Theatre
I spoke to my agent, and apparently they have to say that nudity will be involved even if it's just a bare back, and she said it wasn't mentioned so I'm guessing that means there won't be any which is good. I'm still slightly worried about how explicit it is (I mean, what if I got the part and my pa...

Re: 'The Knowledge' - Audition for play at the Bush Theatre
No it doesn't say anything about adults only or anything... hopefully it will be okay. I've no idea if it was through spotlight - my agent's not in the country at the moment but she'll be back tomorrow and I'll call her and ask :)

'The Knowledge' - Audition for play at the Bush Theatre
I just got sent an audition by my agent for a play called 'The Knowledge' at the Bush Theatre in Shepherd's Bush. The play looks interesting, but my problem is that the scenes I am meant to read at the audition are quite sexually explicit. I don't mind doing it as long as they are suggested rather t...

Re: How many parts do you get?
Okay cool, that makes me feel better! But also kinda worse, cos it means I've probably got to wait a while until I actually get a part... ](*,)

How many parts do you get?
I was just wondering, how many of the castings that you/your dds and ds's go for do you/they get the part? I'd just be interested to hear the ratio, like you get however many parts from so many castings, just cos I don't know anyone in this business so I'd just like to hear from you guys.
Thanks! :D
Thanks! :D
