Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
The students ar ArtsEd who are awarded the diploma are those on a DADA. The rest - the vast majority - are awarded a degree. I believe DADA recipients get a degree awarded too. They're all on the same course - it's just how it's funded. DADAs, if awarded, are based on household income from the previ...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
I think it ia worth contacting ArtsEd Mimismum. A girl DD knows from her 6th form college has just been offered a place from the Reserve list - so there is movement. We would be like you and not want to look "pushy" but I do think a call from a keen student could make a positive difference...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
DD has confirmed that there is only one person in her current first year at ArtsEd who was on the reserve list and this was quite early on in the process. Seems there was no real movement once offers were made last year. But this year could be different as we know several lads with multiple offers w...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Some foundation courses like ArtsEd are funded almost in full by a student loan whereas others like Reed and EDA are not eligible. Only a percentage of students are offered a place on a degree due to the incredibly high numbers of applicants for the top colleges, the high standard required at auditi...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
I agree - the Oliviers will be such a wow! ArtsEd 3rd Year students are performing. My DD, as a first year, was disappointed not to get a ticket. But maybe next year!

Re: Sad news about ALRA
We don't know anyone who has auditioned for ALRA let alone attended there. Not sure what courses it ran. But no wonder they didn't announce the closure until April 4th! Their terms and conditions allow them not to refund any money. Sounds despicable to me. Hope Rose Bruford can accommodate the stude...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Regarding ArtsEd reserve list, dd said in her current year (first year) one boy got in from the reserve list and two boys were moved up from Foundation to Degree. So, not a lot of movement last year.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
That's great news Harry2003! Well done to him! DD said she knows four lads offered places today - including our young lodger from last year. It's a great place for serious training. DD still feels so privileged to be there. Good luck to everyone else still auditioning or waiting on results for whate...

That's great news islandofsodor! DD also heard this week that she has place on the NYMT mentoring scheme. She's over the moon! I bet your ds is too. Maybe they're on the same show!

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Hi Stayingcalm Look at Turn2Us -we researched and then applied locally. DD submitted evidence plus all her audition tapes and school exam results. Awards I think can be found under different counties. Very varied and different criteria. But worth a try once successful with an audition and in need of...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Regarding support at ArtsEd I can only tell of our experience. DD was not awarded a DADA - no indication given of how many/few were awarded. Of those she knows it is nearly all boys in her year. However some, as at every college, do exploit the system - which is a real bugbear of ours - and secure f...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Hope your dd's recall goes well for Royal Welsh. Last year was their first year of offering a BA Hons and the initial auditions were tapes and recalls were online - so possibly not many people can share an up to date experience unless they have already had their recall this year. DD very much enjoye...
