Permission for Showreel
I had a search through previous topics and couldn't find the answer to this -
How do you get permission to use clips of your DC for Showreel? You presumably can't just copy it across from DVD or TV recording. Does a special request have to be made through the agent?

Re: It really shouldn't all be about money
There is a large, expanding industry providing in school and after school/ holiday education and experiences for children in a wide range of performing arts. Parents are happy to pay for this otherwise it wouldn't be happening, and it helps keep money circulating in the uk. i don't understand why th...

Great news that she enjoyed it neeky78. It's an experience most adults could not cope with so she's done very well indeed.

Re: How to make a documentary??
Agree with Fosmum, Windows Movie Maker coud be a good start. Eldest DD - 13 - had 3 lessons at school where they were shown how to use it and have a bit of a play on it. When they were asked to do a school project on the effects of exercise she decided to do a little film using 10 year old sister an...

Re: Advice needed!!!!
Jollyjelly - i spend half my life with my foot in my mouth (assuming i've even got that expression right!) and when there's no body language or facial expression it becomes very easy to offend or be offended when everyone was trying to be friendly. I enjoy hearing everyone's opinions, dilemmas, ques...

Re: Help!!
My dd was offered the chance to be an extra in a well known series which had been filming for months. They wanted children on the Friday early start, fully licensed and ready to go. It was offered Wednesday afternoon!! This seems to be the way it often works, and if you read some other posts here th...

Scottish Ballet - Hansel & Gretel
Took DC to see this last night. Even way up at the back of the gods it was a wonderful, sublime performance that held everyone's attention for every second. (Even with the idiot woman who decided taking photos was ok including using the flash) [-X Very pleased to see Scottish Ballet using talented l...

Thank you for posting this. Schools are currently being asked officially to confirm how much they spend on sport. No one has asked about any creative time or expenditure.

Re: CBBC Series- Hank Zipzer
Screen terrier has an introduction but I was surprised not to see a picture of the leading boy. I was aware of the books and delighted this series may encourage more young readers to them.
