Re: Help desperately needed xx
Very proud nana, this must be a very difficult time for you all. Please do make all this very light hearted for your granddaughter, all this performance/modelling world is usually one of constant rejection. For most nAPMs the experience will be one where a child just wants to perform. I don't think ...

Re: Bird college vs urdang
Wow, what a wonderful dilemma to have! Well done! =D> My dd has a brilliant mt teacher who is also in strong demand for choreographing shows for other organisations around the region. She went to bird a few years ago and appears to be very busy with work. That's not to say it's the best of the two, ...

Re: Very Frustrated Drama Teacher
You told them back in February. Most parents are used to getting notified of everything from school to clubs at the last minute, so you did very well and it should have been appreciated. I have sympathy for exams but I wonder how many of the rest would have excused themselves if it had been raining ...

Re: The future of kids in panto
As a parent I'd be relying on the chaperone picking up how adults react when unexpected things like this happen, and then reminding the children what must/ must not happen in future. I'm surprised to hear some pantos are dropping the children. My understanding was the babes are much younger and, sho...

Re: What would you pay?
I've seen plenty of shows coming to local theatres where they ask £75-£95 per child to attend 'workshops'. The children then use what they learn in the 'workshops' (ie rehearsals) to appear in the shows, for which, of course, all the relatives then pay significant amounts for the seats.

Re: is your DC affected by M25 requirement for London roles?
Newcastle Upon Tyne is 150 miles away from Salford, so almost three hours by car and nearer to four using the awkward train system. The BBC moving to Salford has in no way benefited 'the North', just a bit of the North West. I would imagine a fair few of the children will be brought up to film in Sa...
