Re: Paying tax abroad

Surely this is for the agent to sort out. They must have come across this before.

Re: September 2015

Thanks Carriecrafts, that is what I hoped was the case. My DD would only want to go at 18 and I think we have decided to try the diploma at our local (ish) college which is an art and performing arts/music college instead of A levels so hopefully the diploma course will be ok, DD can do an A level ...

Re: Drama School

As has been debated on other threads, sometimes drama school training at a young age can be a disadvantage and takes away the natural way of approaching a script. I would personally look into other options as this could influence in such a way that they are put off totally, which would be a shame.

Re: Dancer but not so much a singer!

I think that's a really good point you make Fruitcake about dancers standing out. My DD has been dancing since age 7 and only now age 15 is she beginning to understand about performing through dance, showing emotion through her face and trying to be the one that everyone looks at. I was at a dance s...

Re: Spots/acne

If it is just spots and not acné, my dd uses Superdrug tea tree range and we have found it gives much better results than the more expensive clearasil and garnier products. Also steaming once a week helps loads. Obviously it's one of those things that has to run its course but every little helps!!

How about ´By the sea´from Sweeney Todd? You can really put a lot of acting into it, like Popular. My DD loves performing it!!

Re: September 2015

Luckily I didn't have to wait for too long. Texts are wonderful things! Unfortunately it's a no for Bird but with a yes to Chichester, a yes to Urdang for foundation and a yes to LSC recall audition, she feels quite happy... As it was her first round of auditions and she's always trained in France ...

Re: September 2015

Thanks for that! From reading other posts, it just seems that expense seems to be an issue with Laine, which puts some people off and I didn't know why :? We are a couple of years away from the audition process but it seems an incredibly stressful process. Thanks to everyone who posts info. I'm find...

Re: September 2015

For most people it's about funding; so you accept the ones you can afford But mainly you delay, delay, delay - until you know That's what I thought, trouble is DD wants to go to Laine guess re mortgage will be on the cards if we can't get some help with funding, so stressed about it already, I gues...

Re: September 2015

\it's massively tricky DD is doing the pre-voc at Performers & loving it - my parents paid for the course, uniform & pocket money and we are using our tax credits to pay for her accommodation (we got a very good deal) & food. it's very hard However her dancing has developed amazingly as...

Re: A and J Management

Hello, my dd was asked to send a monologue to a&j. If they like her, can anyone tell me what happens next? Also, what type of work do they mainly get for teenagers on their books. Many thanks.
