Re: Short film audition - nervous xD

I think it's strange that you don't have a character breakdown, but my guess is that they will either give you some sides to learn and read or they will just ask you to do improv to see how you interact with the mother/father if they are casting that day too. It's good that your mum is going with yo...

Re: Applying yourself

As always pg, your knowledge and advice is invaluable, thankyou. I don't know if it's a combination of tracking down opportunities and applying for them myself for so long before I had an agent that has made me prone to thinking that I should just apply myself, or the fact that i'm inexperienced and...

Re: Is talent circle a legit website?

It isn't dodgy...but i'm not sure how the posts on there are monitored as such. However, there are no joining fees and it's always worth applying for the experiences. I also got my first short film experience from TalentCircle :)

Applying yourself

Just a quick question (or asking for thoughts) on applying for castings/auditions yourself even if you already have an agent? One would obviously assume that your agent puts you forward for everything you are suitable for, however, if you see something that is advertised somewhere, do you think its ...

Re: Letter to an agent (to work there)

Thankyou pg, it's interesting reading about how they work, it feels strange that i've never even heard of agencies that work like that, just goes to show a little I know! Yes, I suppose contacting cd's is probably not a viable option at the moment but something maybe to think about when I get ...

Re: Short film auditioning - safety advice please

Hi ellee, I used to apply to be involved in short films, i find them quite fun and a really good experience. Firstly you should probably look on sites like mandy and talentcircle. But in terms of safety, you should always be able to take a parent/guardian or friend with you to the audition and to th...

Re: Letter to an agent (to work there)

Thankyou Irishdancer and pg for your very helpful responses. :) And thankyou PG for the advice on offering to be an administrative assistant, I really wasn't sure what to term the role that I was applying for, so thankyou very much, and for the tip on writing to casting directors in the area, I actu...

Letter to an agent (to work there)

I was just wondering if anybody has any experience of actually working at any model or talent agencies and might be able to help me? I am currently at university, but really keen to gain some experience working as some sort of runner or intern in a model or acting agency. Whilst i love acting, i hav...

Re: House of Anubuis

Had an audition for this today. It know it isn't good to be negative but i just felt it went really badly, i was unusually nervous and i think i was overthinking things so i was just rather rubbish. Never mind eh. Then again, you never know how things are going to turn out! Good luck to your dd term...

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Genevieve i couldnt agree more, all the contestants in the final seemed very humble and gracious and were extremely talented. I think it was a great final, very entertaining, the judges were great fun and i think there was a lot of talent that will have a great career ahead of them. I especially lov...

Re: The Voice

I am enjoying the format, i think it's really fresh and interesting. Though i have to admit that i am not at all keen on the face off bit where they battle it out. I just don't like it, especially when i enjoy both of them or danny says about the person who he thinks he could put out there and insta...

Re: Bonnie and Betty, Daisy and Dukes and Bizzykids

I used to be with the childrens section of B&B, was very happy with them, though i think it was a one-off fee that we paid, but i'm not 100% sure.
