Re: Sheet music presentation

You could always be super prepared and photocopy them and do both then ask the pianist which one they would prefer, I'm guessing they would appreciate that ;)

Re: Changing the colour of character shoe elastic - tricks?

Hi
Done this a few times, pop to hobbycraft or similar and buy black elastic the same width or slightly wider and sew it on top of the pink elastic, just a simple running stitch (not too tight) usually does the trick!

Re: Stage School

I didn't watch it myself but like others have seen the very unfavourable coverage it's received from other who did. My DD is auditioning for Sept 17 entry this year and it was on her list to view/audition but she won't be viewing/auditioning now - what a shame, if they had made a real programme/doc...

Re: Children working professionally whilst at vocational sch

Hi at Redroofs they can stay with a host family in the week and home at weekends (same as Sylvia's I think). Best of both worlds then. We looked at most vocational schools and Redroofs was at the top of the list for my dd. I think the children get an instinct of what's right for them. X

Re: Phoenix associates

My daughter had a trial day with SSA and although she didn't join in the end due to other commitments she thoroughly enjoyed the day and said the teaching was superb.
A year to commit up front seems a bit steep though.

Re: Wide fitting tap shoes - any advice?

The Bloch Split Sole (Tapflex I think) tap shoes have very soft leather and seem quite wide so could be a good bet, expensive but comfortable and no breaking in.
