Thanks PG & Missmoneypenny - we really need to prioritise the MT, but extra rent could be good!

Realistically is it possible to combine auditioning and modelling after graduation?

And if so how?

What are good agencies to approach?
Does anyone have enough experience to look at DD's embryo portfolio for us & critique it?

We have a few (very busy) months before it happens but is there anything we can do in advance?

Re: Performers College Degree Course

As a younger woman I intended to have 4 children; god/nature decided I would only have 1

But if I had even 2 children DD would not be where she is today - we would never have afforded the time or expense of 'out of school' stuff for 2 children, Brownies/Swimming would have been it!

Re: Performers College Degree Course

& I think the colleges offering a degree but that you need to 'top-up' the fees outside of a loan are being disingenuous

Re: Performers College Degree Course

But I think colleges are pre-empting the end of the DaDA - the ability of a student to borrow money to complete a course is very important & there have been discussions on here about how it would be fairer if students could access loan funding to enable them to do MT The colleges seem to be enab...

Re: Performers College Degree Course

If you aren't well off cheap maybe the only place you can train Realistically anyone wanting to do Dance or MT needs to fund it; your parents can pay, the gov can pay (DaDA) or you can take out a loan Loads of places don't offer degrees at the actual loan amount, so a college that does will be popul...

Re: Is this commonplace ?!

DD is mixed and this week at college (with only a couple of non-white students each year) the white students were complaining that there were too many 'black' parts in the west end........

It's all about if you 'fit - whether it's size, height, hair colour, ethnicity, whatever

Re: Interesting tweet - student numbers

I do wonder if early specialisation is going to be a problem for some of these youngsters; dance to the exclusion of getting a train or managing you bank accoungt is a bit pointless They need a wide range of skills to leave home & get work, performance is only one element. DD has several jobs sh...

Re: DD is looking for accommodation in Portsmouth for Panto

Thanks she will look away but she needs to allow for public transport

Theatre digs are SO expensive! more than half her wages

No the nice mum was her dance teachers sister which would have been perfect

She is on The Hustle so I have told her to ask thanks
