Re: The Kids Voice
Oh sorry to hear that ,poor boy and you .My DD has her audition on Saturday and is really looking forward to it,she really wants to do it too. I know someone who has got through to the researchers round, prior to callbacks in November and has been asked if she definitely wants to do it. We have strug...

The Kids Voice
Would anyone on here let their child audition for The Voice Kids?
I am just interested in people's opinions about it,I myself am not very keen on the idea!

Re: Trinity or Lamda?
lawn it was her drama teacher who told me that and that is why I'm not so convinced myself. I get the most remarkable nuggets of information from her,the last one being "a drama school won't touch you if you haven't got an A level in drama". I don't say anything other than "really?&qu...

Re: Auditioning for 2017
Thank you all for your comments. I think I will have to bite the bullet and get a tutor,I might wait until parents evening and see what they say,she is y10 so a little while to go!
Re: Spirit
I suppose if you are accepted onto the elite team then yes, maybe. I wouldn't if it was just regular training. For us only an hour away it would be a huge commitment in time and finance. The kids do seem to get great opportunities and travel from a very long way to attend. I know my DD would absolute...

Re: Auditioning for 2017
Thank you, he had a tutor and I was hoping not to have one for a while. At £30 ph it is something I could do without. She was very disappointed that he did badly,he got an E. My DD told me that she has just moved up to a higher group in maths so a good start for her school year. I might get them to ...

Re: Stage School
Jasmine2 I agree, it is always best to make your own mind up.I was reading about the casting for it and most had to audition for the roles and don't even attend the school. Unfortunately the media is a a powerful force and many won't bother to research what they have seen and read, they will think al...

Re: Stage School
I found it. Truly terrible, who would ever take anyone who is appearing in it seriously? Shameful ,sorry for students
who work so hard there.

Re: Stage School
What channel was it on please? No one is saying the name of the school but I think I know which one it is. I know a teacher there so hope it isn't that bad!

Re: Auditioning for 2017
Thanks for the reply. It is just out of interest really,my DS sounds the same as yours and now has to retake his maths and English which he is really upset about at college. He isn't a performer but it has made me wary for my DD. She struggles with maths and will be one of the 9-1 GCSE ' s . She sing...

Re: Trinity or Lamda?
My DD was 13 when she did grade 6 in MT,acting ,prose and verse with Trinity. Her teacher keeps saying she has 3 GCSE ' S but I haven't really taken much notice of her as I don't regard them as that ,she gets ucas points but I haven't really investigated them but I will now ,pretty sure that they wi...

Re: Auditioning for 2017
Not our turn yet to apply but have any of you had issues with not getting GCSE maths and English ? I know many courses don't require it but what about any that do? I would say no to affording it,take into account rent, travel etc too.

Re: The Pebble and the boy - Kickstarter
What an interesting project. I looked for it on Facebook and liked it and shared,it has since been shared by 10 of my friends within an hour or so,we aren't far from Brighton and I have friends who love mod style so hopefully the target will be added to!
