Wide fitting tap shoes - any advice?

Ds has wide feet and we are struggling to find tap shoes that fit without going up so much in length that he might as well have clown shoes. Anyone know any makes that come up wide? He is about a UK size 1.

Re: Just interested - general hit rate from submissions/cast

Yes agent is definitely working hard!! She said she would throw him in for pretty much anything he fits the brief for to begin with, and then narrow it down presumably as it becomes more apparent what works best, so I'm guessing it will reduce. But maybe as in your case less is more?!

Just interested - general hit rate from submissions/castings

Just being nosey and intrigued -what you reckon your average 'hit rate' for castings is? And do you think this changes/improves/decreases over time/with age? Or varies with where you are in the country? In the last three months DS (age 6) has been submitted by a combination of agent and me for aroun...

Re: Auditions

There is a recent thread started by Katymac called something like 'websites that advertise auditions/jobs' that has some suggestions which people have made. If you use the search facility I'm sure you will find it. I think you said in your other post that your son now has an agent so they will no do...

Hi. I'm afraid I don't have any personal experience of this but I wish you and your daughter all the best for a speedy recovery.

Re: Arts Award- Can you help?!

That's interesting francescasmum, I didn't read it that way, but I suspect yours is the voice of experience. I just naively assumed any survey would be bound to show performing kids had better than average mental health because of the resilience, self discipline and empathy they develop, and also be...

Re: Agency Fee/Cut/Percentage

10 to 20% here too according to nature of job and no percentage taken on little jobs. Maybe it is different in different places? We are 'oop North'.

Re: New members - please check your messages

Aw. Thank you. Much appreciated! Was just feeling (unusually) virtuous and doing my mummy admin making sure I at least try to understand how things work before (probably inevitably) putting my foot in it. There is loads of incredibly useful stuff on here. Dangerously addictive though... Need to go a...
