Re: Would you give someone else's child a lift to an auditio
Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences, you are so helpful and really helped me make up my mind :D My gut reaction is always to be helpful if I can, as I like to "do unto others" too. However I think in this particular circumstance I will say no. I feel I owe it to dd to give her ...

Re: Would you give someone else's child a lift to an auditio
That's EXACTLY what I'm thinking dodgepot! I am trying desperately to find a get-out clause e.g. that child's own parent has to sign something at the audition? Would that wash? BTW not just one other dd but 2 - the other girl's younger sister is going for another part. TBH I hardly know the girls ei...

Would you give someone else's child a lift to an audition?
Would you give someone else's child a lift to an audition? I am possibly in this quandary. Other person's dd and my dd going for same part (they are in same drama group). The parent has asked me for help as she is working and thinks her dh can't do it either. I feel the need to use multiple smilies ...

Re: PLEASE HELP!!!!re castingwebsite
Surely the Casting Website would have it all over their testimonials boxes if they had?tikka wrote: A few of the folks on here have said thay have had work from Starnow but I don't recall anyone saying they have had work from the Casting Website. be interesting to see if anyone has.

Re: Advice really needed!
Write the email based on the assumption that you ARE staying with the agency regardless. i.e. you have posted here that you think she won't have you because you are going to uni, but you don;t know this for certain, so don't mention this in your email as it makes you sound less confident (if you see...

Re: IMDB - a few questions
Many thanks Aliceinwonderinc and Irishdancer, that's really helpful. Don't worry I didn't have a bubble to burst about dd's "popularity"  I think Irishdancer you are right that maybe someone with more time than sense has got hold of the film end-credits and put dd name on imdb. ...

Re: Advice really needed!
Definitely talk to your agent and also talk to your Univ tutors as well so they all understand the situation. You need to find out as soon as possible what restrictions (if any) the Univ would have on you taking time off from lectures etc to be in a production. I'm sure agents are very used to actor...

IMDB - a few questions
I was idly browsing the IMDB this morning and came to the page of a short film that dd was an extra in last summer (with a few other NAPM children). We got sent the DVD a while ago and my dd only appears has a blur in a classroom scene (I only know its her because of her rucksack!) so you cannot eve...

Re: Should under 18s be paid for panto?
That's great news, HCS, very well done to your dd =D> =D> :D :D I can't speak from experience, but I would think that doing something like a panto will be great on your dd's CV and also you might find the driving time good for you both - a bit of mother-daughter time, and a break from the usual rout...

Re: First casting
Hi minnie10 Just to add to nextinline's advice - I presume you have looked at the Livestock website although having a website is no proof of legitimacy these days, it can at least give you a feel for what the people are potentially involved with. If you google the names associated with this producti...

Re: Castings and auditions
I am also interested , as dd auditioned first time round but didn't get in, and when I emailed the producer (?) I got a reply saying that I would be emailed again when and if they needed more children.
