talent scouts and agency

whats the best way to check out a agency i have been approched by some whom say they dont require a fee but is there any other way to check them out?

Perhaps see if they have a website? Do you have their name? Because if you post it on here then some people might have had some experience with them and will be able to give you some more info :D

one was called Elitetalent agency in manchester, they do have a site but i guess its easy as shown on Hustle and the real hustle

Where were you when you were approached? Was this after a performance?

I've had a look at Elite Talent's site and I recognise a few of the actors. I would say it's definitely not a top-flight agency, but then it hasn't been going for long. It certainly doesn't ring any alarm bells. There doesn't seem to be a lot of high profile work, but that doesn't mean it's a bad agency: it takes time to build up a reputation.
