Why does it have no benefit? It's a very good performing opportunity / audition practice, with valuable feedback. The audition feedback was excellent and there was lots of it.

Paying for training is one thing but to pay for auditioning experience when there are no casting directors there to witness talent seems in my opinion crazy.

You're definitely entitled to feel that way. My dd loves to be on stage and so I feel that extra performing opportunity is a bonus. I have always had to buy tickets to see the shows she's been in anyway, even those through her stage schools, in fact I usually end up spending more than for this experience.

Isn’t this run by the same people as TeenStar and Open Mic? Dd got through to regional round singing an original song but we and she felt utterly ripped off. We did get some feedback but it was things she’s already gaged herself! If it’s run by same people I wouldn’t do it!
