Our self tape was done all in one take in 15mins in the midst of the most manic weekend ever, so I'm really not too hopeful either!!!

Crikey! It’s finding the time to learn the script we struggled with! What with that and finding a song he can play and sing to with his ever lowering voice it got a bit tricky!

Any recall news out there?

Luckily we had no singing to do. I'm sure if it had been snowing where we are she'd much rather go sledging too so good on your DS!Millyweaver wrote:Crikey! Thank you! XxProudmum1968 wrote:Lola12345 - they asked for pop rock or R'n'B for the casting audition but my DS is also classically trained ABRSM and classical and musical theatre are his forte - hope this helps x

Aww that’s lovely, it’s exactly why we should be fighting against the Stage Mum stereotypes - “All they do is audition” etc xxMillyweaver wrote:Self-tape for DS was supposed to be in by yesterday 11am but we have had epic snowfall and Sunday was only day we could do it-gave him the choice of sorting audition or sledging and he took sledging. Rather gutted but also pleased he still wants to be a kid bless him!

Hi Adrianna1312 Was this 4 weeks before you heard after submitting self tape or 4 week since audition with casting director? xAdrianna1312 wrote:They specifically said no musical theatre on our info and it was a good four weeks before we heard back from them. Hope this helps x

Sorry for confusion, it was for weeks Frome submitting our details to being asked for a self tape. We were only given 48 notice and had a deadline of 11am on Monday which seems to be like a lot of others X

Re: KM Casting 11-16 year olds
We received a self-tape request last week for one character via agent, then direct from applying via the advert weeks ago (before with new agent) we received a request to self tape for a different character and now today, via StarNow we have had a notice that they would like her to self-tape for yet another character!!
We did the one long one at the weekend, think that will do! Not holding our breath tho. Nice to be bombarded with request
Good luck to everyone having a go.

Hi. I'm wondering how old are your DDs who have been asked to self tape? My DD has been submitted by agent and by myself as well about 3 to 4 weeks ago, probably longer ago by agent, but we have heard nothing. She plays 3 different instruments and sings. She's only 11 though so maybe they are looking for older girls? I'm considering sending her details again in case the first one ended up in their spam box lol
Re: KM Casting 11-16 year olds
The role for 11-12 was non singing. I have the impression the singing ones were for an older age group.
Re: KM Casting 11-16 year olds
The older children are aged 13-15 one of them no singing skills needed

All the talk seems to be about dd auditions of late
Does that mean no more boys are auditioning now? Still no recall news for the boys then?

Not heard of any boys recalled as yet. My ds was called in about a week ago for first round
