Denbighshire Performing Arts Championships

Having a proud Mum moment as my 13 yr old dd was competing on Sunday at the Denbighshire Performing Arts Championships & came 2nd in her solo, dancing to "dance with me tonight" (olly murs), 1st in duet section dancing to "reet petite" then 2nd in the group section dancing to "get up" from Step Up 3d. She then won a trophy for being best senior performer which was brilliant considering the age group was 11-21 yr olds.
I don't usually 'show off' but felt the need so I hope nobody minds!!

Thanks everyone & yes I'm very proud as dd has been working so hard lately.
Yes Dancediva you are right so here it is.....DD has successfully auditioned & got a part in Annie at The Liverpool Empire in August, it's their yearly Stage Experience showcase. About 350 young people auditioned between the ages of 11 & 21 & out of those 100 were chosen to be in the show, I will let you all know what part DD has got when we find out which should be Fri, all we know is that she was asked to try for Annie but is prob too big so may get a speaking part as one of the main orphans so fingers crossed.

Yayyyyyy - thats just brilliant news and so glad she has done so well.
We were really rooting for her and thrilled when we heard how well she had done - and first time at such a HUGE audition !

Will be keeping an eye out to see what part she gets but whatever it is its a massive achievement for her - give your DD a huge hug from us ?
