Really odd question about training in America?

Post by Katymac »

DD has the opportunity to go abroad next year to stay close to New York; with the idea that she would attend possibly a tap training course.

But how would I go about finding a course? and how do the grades/levels translate

& finally would it be worth it - I do wonder if it's a glorified 'jolly' (rather like the BTec Dance trip to Paris :-k )

From what I have heard in general, in America they often do not do grades, exams etc but each dance school has its own 'syllabus'. If no-one on this forum is able to help you, a quick browse on the american forum 'ballet talk for dancers' might help as I know it covers more than just ballet.
