Hi there
My DD is planning on auditioning for drama school later this year for 2014 entry.
What advice could you give her on what to do now? She's already reading/seeing plays and attending summer school?
What else could she do to prepare herself more?
Has anyone's DD done the RADA Shakespeares certificate Bronze level - if so what was their experience?
Also, can anyone suggest any good books to read prior to auditioning - She has already read Respect For Acting, Shakespeare's advice to the players and In Depth Acting - but is there any other good ones you could suggest please - she's 20 btw.
Thanks very much!

Re: Preparing to Audition for 2014 Advice?
your dd could start looking for suitable monologues to perform - Some schools will have their own lists to choose from that may or may not be available yet, you'd have to contact individual schools - but most won't, and it takes a long time to choose monologues to perform, read the entire play and to prepare

I would have a look at Simon Dunmore's website - lots of info and advice there
