We were touched by this recent review from one of our long-standing Forecast Academy parents:

"My eldest daughter has always wanted to become an actress. She had joined all drama clubs on offer at her primary and secondary school, done Stagecoach, had achieved several Trinity Guildhall and Lamda levels and adored Jennifer Lawrence. So when she saw an ad for a new performing arts school on Saturdays, she wanted to try it. Two years on from her successful auditions for Forecast Academy she is a far more accomplished actress, singer and dancer. At the same time she now has a more realistic view on what life as a dramatic arts performer might be like.

Every Saturday during term time, the students spend 4 solid hours on dance, singing and acting. This is a considerable time commitment for teenagers – especially on Saturdays – but there is no doubt that our daughter found it highly rewarding. The ratio of pupils per instructor is low, the tuition is highly individual and students receive personal attention from experts in the individual disciplines during these sessions. Ollie and Jody, who set up and run Forecast, have created a stimulating social environment (it feels a bit like a family) in which the students are pushed to challenge themselves in a constructive and motivating way.

Ollie and Jody also regularly secure West-End or TV professionals for specialised workshops. These workshops add another dimension to the students’ learning and give them a valuable insight into real-life performing arts.

At the end of every term, the students have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience in the showcase. This allows them to consolidate the term’s work and show friends and family the progress they have made.

Jody and Ollie’s commitment to their students doesn’t end with the sessions. When my daughter missed a session she was always offered to catch up on another occasion. More importantly, when she was preparing for her audition for a Sixth Form drama scholarship, Ollie and Jody offered her several personal sessions to improve her monologue, which greatly helped her to secure the scholarship.

My eldest has enjoyed it so much that she has infected her younger sister, who started this term at Forecast. After just two sessions, she is equally as enthusiastic as her sister and cannot wait for Saturdays to come around!"
