Uni-versal extras

Post by aliceinwonderinc »

Has anyone heard of/used the Uni-versal extras agency? The website looks legit, and their terms and conditions seem reasonable (no upfront fees, they take 15% of your fee) but I just want to see if anyone's had any experience with them before I give them my details!

I'm with them (amongst others). Haven't had much tho - one day on a feature in a year. You do have a fee up front tho if you're an adult but it is only £12 & thats it. You have to supply your own pics.

I know they haven't done themselves any favours with the open casting for Les Mis.....other agencies & legit background folks are not happy with them for doing this at all. I think there are other much better extras agencies to be with if you're over 16, but nothing much to lose if you register with them.
And all that jazz...!

Ah okay, thanks Gypsy Mum! I was going to apply for their student section where you don't have to pay... but what other extras agencies would you recommend? I tried to sign up with the Casting Collective but their site seems to be down for maintenance :?

Most only recruit about once a year. Casting Collective is about October time

If you are on Facebook thre are some interesting sites if you search for extras
