GCSE Drama Student Work Experience?

Post by hopesanddreams »

Hey everyone!

I was wondering if you knew any good places that accept U16 GCSE Drama Students for Work Experience?

Your school should have a list of company's who do. If you want smoking in the theatre then think you have to be 16 you could ask your agent if you could do work experance with them good luck

Great question. I have thought about this too and didn't know you needed to be 16 to work in the theatre (thanks Irish Dancer). Apart from the theatre, I'm not sure what else is relevant - perhaps a local radio station?

My son went to another local school and worked with the dance and drama team assisting with lessons, choreographing a dance and doing warm ups and lesson plans. It was very interesting seeing it all from a teachers point of view and dealing with year 7 and 8 students, some with disabilities.
Admittedly the staff already knew him but he learned loads and is going back after GCSEs this month to help again.
If you have other local schools near to you , that might be an option.
