Dd just found out about an open casting where the character is basically her personality and everything! The brief says the character is cuban-American but at the bottom of the page it says 'We are committed to diverse, inclusive casting. For every role, please submit qualified performers, without regard to disability, race, age, color, national origin, ethnic origin, or any other basis prohibited by law'. Dd is not Cuban but is quarter Native American so her skin is a tiny bit darker plus we lived in spain for 9 months when she was younger so can speak baisic Spanish, she says she could pass for Cuban-American if she went in the sun for a week. but I'm not used to this acting scene so I don't know what to do? Help!

If it is an Open Casting then you simply follow the instructions for self taping and submit her. There is normally lots that respond to these castings but without trying you will never know. I should imagine that they will want an American accent as well for this as it is Cuban-American. Good luck
