Licensing for work during school holidays

Can anyone advise whether a permission letter from school is still required to licence work on dates that fall entirely within school holidays?
(Possibly a daft question but it's a situation that's never arisen before with DS so I have no idea!)

No, it's only required if time off school is needed.

Thanks, islandofsodor, that's very helpful.

But I suggest you contact your licensing authority- sometimes you don't need a license at all - other times you do- but you don't need the school letter.

Thanks, swanny. He would definitely need a licence as the criteria for exemption don't fit, but it's good to know I wouldn't need to chase a letter. All hypothetical anyway unless DS gets the nod, just trying to be prepared
.

The licence form should have a section asking how many half days or full days off school are required - question 12 if the standard form is used. (We once confused a panto company as dd attended a school who broke up for Christmas a whole week earlier than the other schools in the area).
