Hiya
just wondering how long it usually takes to hear back from a modelling casting?

Ooh, that's a tough one! They do vary, but you will usually hear back pretty quickly if successful - eg with a few days - on the other hand you are very unlikely to hear anything at all if unsuccessful. But there are companies who can take ages, one of my dc's did a Boden casting last September and didn't hear until November that they had been optioned, but I would say that is a more unlikely scenario.
Best bet after a casting is to just forget about it (as much as poss - gets easier and if you hear back then what a bonus!
and if you hear back then what a bonus!
Good luck x

I get a bit confused by that - I think (may be wrong mind that optioned is the next step up from pencil - pencil means they are being considered - and optioned means they have been shortlisted - having said that I always try and take them all with a pinch of salt as we have had plenty of pencils and options that have never turned in to anything - but I always feel slightly more hopeful of an option. Hope that helps x
