Hi everyone!
In a few weeks I'm going to perform at a theatre- something that I've only done once or twice when I was little. We will be the from 10am-10pm and I have no idea what to bring with me!!! I know that I'll need lots of food supplies to keep my energy levels up- but what do you usually pack for your kids that keeps them going until the show starts? I know it's a bit of an odd question, but I remember the last performance I was in didn't go to plan as we were really hungry totally exhausted from the rehearsals!
I would suggest. start the day with porridge for breakfast as it's a slow energy releasing food - also a recommended breakfast for athletes !!! Avoid fizzy drinks !! Good to have pasta lunch, with juice and take some fruit. But if you're dancing around on stage best to have pasta at least 2 hrs before you are performing, as pasta can sit very heavy in the stomach and could give you a stitch and make you feel bloated sometimes ! Jam sandwiches are good as these will keep your energy/sugar levels up. Have couple of bottles of water to 'sip', to ensure you're hydrated. Take plenty of snacks! Pack of cards could come in handy, music, i pod- Have a great time !
