Youtube converter

Can anyone please recommend a safe and reliable youtube converter?

I know this has been asked before but I searched it and I think the past threads have expired.

I use "saveyoutube" then once you have it on your hard disk you can convert thru windows Media into formats required. I have succesfully picked clips of DS on Youtube for his showreel this way, quality is still good. Hope that helps.

Thanks Panda. I am not that great with technology, is there no safe, simple way to download a youtube video so that I can then upload it to kids casting call pro? I did it before via a link from this site but i can't find the link anymore.
