short films

hi there!
I'm looking to gain experience and I think that the best way of doing this would be through short films or student films. does anyone know how I can find out details about these ie who to contact at film schools??
any advice is helpful!

Sites like Mandy often carry student and short film information.

CCP also carry these and you don't have to pay to apply for unpaid jobs.

Starnow carry them too, but you do have to pay to apply as far as I know.

Shooting People is another one to try.

I know that some places have facebook pages (e.g. Bournemouth Film and Actor Opportunities) so it would be worth having a scout around and doing a search on facebook for other film schools.

Otherwise, I'd suggest just emailing someone in admin at the various schools and colleges and asking them about the best way to apply/get information.
