I'm still massively frustrated that whether DD gets a DaDA or not depends upon the income of the parents of the children above her on the list......... #-o ](*,)

It's all a waiting game and very frustrating not knowing. I know that laine last year after the recall audition told you in the letter where you were on the dada list.

When are your DD's recall audition katymac?

Oh that's good then.

Can they tell you where dd is on the dada list yet, I know performers have told me once all the auditions are done they will be able to tell me where my dd is on their list.

My niece started at Laines in September. She was offered a full dada but unfortunately her parents earn over £70,000 and so she was not entitled to a penny! It's costing them about £10,000 a term with accommodation and everything!

She has said that a big percentage of the students who started this year have some sort of funding or fee reductions and that some students were being offered funding as late as September.
Bring it on!!!

It is just a patient waiting game I'm afraid - especially since a lot of the recall/funding auditions have not taken place yet. Also, not every college has a list - or at least one that they will tell you your place on the waiting list. We were told by at least one place that if you were not offered a DADA you were put in the 'waiting pool' and that they would revisit the videos of the auditions before making their next set of offers. Certainly there will be a lot of movement on waiting lists until the end of April when it slows considerably but not having heard anything by then is still not necessarily the end of it - DD got her funding just before May half term!

I know of someone who moved up the reserve list gradually from April and eventually got offered a DaDA in September! It ain't over til it's over...

That would be awful - I have to pay £1000 in July if she doesn't get a DaDA to go on Performers Pre-voc!!

what an awful system

£1000 wow that's a lot of money, why do you have to pay that amount?
