Hi I think my ds is going to go to millenium it's the one he wanted to go to since he walked into the audition. When did your dd audition for millenium hopefully you won't be waiting to much longer how old is she.

I Understand what ur thinking is about reserve lists for Dada,s and how they work , but I have heard of people getting them last year of reserve . I wonder if they put all on reserve ? It just adds to the confusionof how it all works .

That's great news for your DS. Where were his other choices?

My DS is 16 and auditioned in January.

I know that they don't put all on reserve list as one girl my dd did the dada recall with, was not given any funding or put on the list...
I am determined to get her to Bodyworks, it will be a struggle but she has worked so hard over the past years to get where she is..(she is 19 now) I guess as soon as all the offers are out then the lists start to move as a lot of auditionees get offers at more than one college..

Just wanted to pop on and say we've fingers crossed for EVERYONE to get the place they would love to be at !!
Followed this thread from the very beginning as we will be starting the process after the summer holidays for 2015 entry - all this information is SO valuable to the performers coming behind you.
Hope you will all stay on to hold my hand and guide me through it so just wanted to wish you all luck xx

PS Re: reserve lists for DaDA's
From how I gather it you will be marked on your DaDA audition and then placed on the list according to your marks.
Some places will let you know how many are on the reserve list and where on the list you are - might be worth a quick phone call.....if you're brave enough ?
Not sure I would want to know - would rather have a little hope than none at all !!
I do know some people who are holding on to 3 or 4 DaDA awards who are going to have to make their mind up soon so it should all start moving pretty quickly.

Sorry I wrote dd not ds. There seems to have been afew more boys than normal this year and off very high standard when they are 15/16 are up against a lot of 19/20 year olds so very hard. Where has your son been dancing, and auditioned mine got into performers, millenium, laines, Brits, masters and conti I'm hoping you will hear this week someone I no was told she would hear in June but if you auditioned in January I would have thought you would have heard by now my son auditioned way after that I would ring them up.

Just had an email from Urdang asking if DD has made decision as need to know!! DD still waiting on Laine and Bird so can't really, have emailed back asking if they can give more time! Will wait for their answer, anyone else had this email??

Allwood020 Laine are being very slow aren't they! We are waiting to see if we have been awarded any bursary assistance not sure if that will come out with Dada results? You must have had the email last week saying do not ring!! They said they were going out in "batches" can only assume very small batches do you think they wait for replies as they send them out before making the next batch of offers? It's now 3 weeks hopefully won't be much longer! x

Hi Suesmith, you could be right. I know one of my DD friends waited a month last year until she heard she had got a DADA!!

Not sure if there is anyone else on here who knows if that is the process or not!

Have just heard back from Urdang and they will wait for their decision from my DD until we have heard from Laine and Bird but have asked that my DD lets them know as soon as she accepts a place, so at least thats a bit of good news.

Still no news here either from Laine, we have said no to Urdang and the part funding they offered. Have had offer from Performers and still waiting on Bird but they have said it could be June before we hear anything as they still have two more auditions to go

After a second year of audition rounds my DD has had the wonderful news of an unconditional offer on the BA Acting degree at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. It had seemed like the impossible dream to secure a place and she had trouble believing the offer when it arrived. Her very talented friends who have been so lucky have been very happy for her. So after endless hypothesising about the rejections, lack of feedback and re jigging of monologues to get the best contrast, it's onto the next stage for her.
